Lead Additive Manufacturing Engineer

Responsibilities

Own specific manufacturing router processes as agreed upon with people leader
Keep process documentation (planning) updated and relevant
Understand process variation and how to control it (six sigma)
Identify and execute on opportunities to drive waste out of a process (lean)
Work to change processes if appropriate as requested by associates, the quality organization, or other source
Utilize in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy
Utilize knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; and be aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
Use judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles
Use technical experience and analytical thinking
Use multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions

Required

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 4 years of manufacturing engineering support experience)
At least an additional 3 years of manufacturing engineering support experience

Prefer someone with at least 5-10 years of manufacturing engineering support experience
