Responsibilities
Leading the collection of VOC from key stakeholders
Preparing timeline and cost estimations for projects
Coordinating with and directing external suppliers or vendors to ensure successful completion of projects
Providing input into the selection of test equipment and methodologies
Developing and fabricating prototype to evaluate new concepts
Providing input on the vision, scope, and specifications for future test systems
Supports all phases of test system development lifecycle including requirements, design, implementation, debug, verification and validation
May coordinate the activities of 1 or more temporary employees
May develop reports on key metrics such as on-time delivery and efficiency detailing any delays in the testing schedule
Qualification
Required
A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
6+ years of relevant experience building test systems in a test lab
CAD (ProE, SolidsWorks, AutoCAD) proficiency
Mechanical/electrical problem-solving skills
Preferred
4 years of relevant experience with a Masters/PhD, preferred
Basic understanding of testing, testing equipment, good laboratory practices, and department metrics
Experience with root cause failure analysis, design input/output traceability, user need collection, and risk analysis
Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills
Comfortable and confident speaking in front of medium to large groups of people
Test Lab/ Test System experience
Ability to bring tasks through to completion with minimal supervision
