Construction Manager - Substation

Responsibilities
Developing and implementing project plans, schedules, and budgets for transmission and substation projects
Leading and managing project teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors
Ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications
Managing project risks and issues, and developing mitigation strategies
Procuring materials, equipment, and services for transmission and substation projects
Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards on construction sites
Preparing and reviewing project documentation, including contracts, reports, and drawings
Providing leadership and guidance to project teams and subcontractors
Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress and quality
Communicating with clients, stakeholders, and Strong management to provide updates on project status
Manage Project Construction, ensure all work is performed to standard, with in budget, on schedule and by assessing risk to minimize adverse conditions affecting projects to include challenging man-hours estimates and participating in job walk downs
Manage task being performed by internal and external construction resources to maximize productivity, safety, quality, diversity, and cost savings
Monitor performance and evaluation capabilities
Resolve engineering design, field barriers and delays to meet schedules
Liaison between Project Management and work groups required to execute projects schedules, control project scope, manage dollars, clearance orders and onsite materials management
Lead job site walk downs, meetings with engineering, construction, and contract management personnel
Monitor project safety and perform weekly safety audits, verify job briefings and informal on-site safety meetings
Assist on Root Cause Investigations, Apparent Cause Evaluations, or operating incident inspections
Review contractor quality assurance and verify compliance through audits, inspections, or surveillances
Qualification
Required
