NANA SHAREHOLDER COLLEGE INTERNSHIP - NANA Worley Engineering Intern Paid Internship
NANA Worley is a company focused on engineering and design solutions, and they are seeking a NANA Worley Engineering Intern. The intern will assist Discipline Engineers and Project Managers with various project engineering tasks, from research and analysis to the preparation of reports and documentation.

Responsibilities
Support engineers in research and analyzing of data such as client design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application
Review project drawings, standards and specifications for completeness and accuracy
Assist engineer with major equipment and material selection, and construction specifications
Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks
Produce CAD models/detail drawings
Applies design standards & procedures to implement basic design
Ensure that all assigned activities and operations comply with applicable codes, regulations, and laws
Assist with the preparation of estimates, cost reports, forecasts, schedules, account codes, budgets, and change orders
Coordinate quantity estimates by obtaining and analyzing data on unit labor costs and unit material costs
Update estimates, schedules, reports, drawings, and documents based on revisions and changes to the project
Assist with preparation of final project reports including obtaining historical data and information
Conduct quality checks of databases, documents, and reports, to verify accuracy of data, information, and calculations
Assist in preparing, maintaining, and filing of departmental policies, procedures, and manuals
Maintains confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff, and company information
Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit’s success also may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be a shareholder of NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., or a direct descendant of a shareholder
Must be 18 years or older
Must be currently enrolled in college or a vocational school full-time and have completed one semester of postsecondary education
Be declared in a major/program of Engineering, Engineering Management, or a closely related field
Intermediate skillset with MS Word processing software and MS Excel spreadsheet software
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to speak effectively before groups of managers, clients or employees of organization
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, proportions, and percentages
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, word processing software, and MS Excel spreadsheet software
Preferred
A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NANA's vehicle insurance policy
Some exposure to computer aided drafting and engineering software preferred
