Responsibilities

Reviews and edits content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style consistency across all Walmart Brands materials, ensuring every piece meets the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism
Ensures all content aligns with Walmart’s brand voice, guidelines, and legal requirements, maintaining a unified and compliant tone throughout all communications and materials
Manages multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while adhering to established timetables and deadlines
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Walmart’s brand standards and industry best practices to ensure all content remains current, effective, and aligned with Walmart Brand standards in various areas (for example, statement of identity and sub-descriptor, size, recipes/direction, callouts and claims, ingredients, allergens)
Check content consistency against the company’s database with information provided by Product Development and suppliers and ensures that information is clear for the customer to follow and understand
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports the company’s mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity. Utilizes and supports the Open Door Policy
Coordinates, completes, and oversees job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders; supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs; identifying and communicating goals and objectives; building accountability for and measuring progress in achieving results; identifying and addressing improvement opportunities; and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning
Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans; utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy; and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices
Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by hiring and training; mentoring; assigning duties; providing recognition; and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in related area and 1 year's supervisory experience
3 years' experience in proofreading, editing, publishing, public relations, media, journalism, communications, or related area

Preferred

Certification in editing, proofreading, or related fields
Experience working with large retail brands, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or in a corporate environment
Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for product labeling, advertising, and marketing communications
Strong project management skills and experience handling multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
