Responsibilities
Data collection and entry of quality measurements into standardized engineering workbooks
Perform tooling validation, surface quality reviews, and tool repeatability to ensure completion of the validation process
Responsible for driving dimensional quality for Body and General Assembly parts and subassemblies in launch/steady state production while ensuring target metrics are met
Perform troubleshooting / root cause analysis to correct quality and dimensional problems quickly and effectively
Recommend tooling changes and adjustments to help support and improve the build process
Provide status reports to project personnel as requested and ensure activities meet programing timing
Continually strive to improve Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Safety (QDCS)
In compliance with customer requirements, ensure safety protocols are being met
Communicates with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems
Responsible for Quality Iteration panel/material control
Shim log management
Participate in and support 5S, QS, Kaizen and lean manufacturing activities
QI Responsibilities as outlined in department flow chart, other duties and projects may be assigned
Qualification
Required
High school Diploma or GED
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Candidate will be regularly required to stand and lift up to 25 lbs
Ability to travel 70-90% (local or national may be required - any travel is company compensated)
Active Driver's License
THIS JOB REQUIRES A HIGH LEVEL OF TRAVEL, WHERE THE CANDIDATE MUST BE ABLE TO BE AWAY FROM HOME UP TO 2 WEEKS AT A TIME FOR PROLONGED PERIODS
Ability to work weekends, overtime, and rotating shifts

Ability to read engineering drawings and understanding of Body-In-White system processes
