LABORATORY ASSISTANT III - PEARL CITY, OAHU

Responsibilities

Perform non-professional laboratory work requiring a practical knowledge of laboratory functions and services
Apply standard laboratory tools, methods and procedures to the service needs of the particular laboratory
Provide support and assistance to professional laboratory personnel
Assist microbiologists, medical technologists or other professional personnel in some phases of technical laboratory work
Prepare standard to difficult reagents, solutions and culture media used in laboratory tests
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required

Legal Authorization To Work Requirement: The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States
Experience: Laboratory Assistant LEVEL III requires TWO (2) YEARS of progressively responsible laboratory work experience which has provided the applicant with a practical knowledge of laboratory functions, apparatus and equipment, methods and procedures, and tests
For level III, one (1) year of experience must have been comparable to the Laboratory Assistant II in State service
