Responsibilities

Fundraising & Donor Engagement. Clerical/administrative support for Annual Giving and Leadership Annual. Giving campaigns in the College of Music that create major-gift pipelines in the College of Music. Solicitations and corporate sponsorships under $5,000, gift-in-kind donations, and the stewardship of those gifts
Team Leadership & Coordination. Hire, supervise, approve working hours and mentor Graduate Assistants and hourly interns to ensure timely completion of projects. Delegate tasks to development student interns/Graduate Students and monitor progress to maintain high-quality deliverables
Data & Reporting. Collaborate with the UNT Data Team to produce prospect- and donor lists for targeted campaigns. Update Data in Raiser’s Edge. Assist in preparing the College’s Annual Report and HEADS Report, emphasizing development achievements
Event & Program Support. Partner with community and UNT organizations, alumni organizations (e.g., UNT Alumni Association, OLLI, UNTRA, and CoM Community Support Council) to implement engagement programs. Help plan and execute donor engagement events, including major dinners and special projects
Budget & Administrative Management. Manage development budgets for events, promotional materials, and office operations under the supervision of the Executive Director. Create fund requests, as requested by University Advancement, for executed gift agreements. Monitor compliance with university policies and procedures in all development activities under the direction of the Executive Director
Other duties as assigned. Provide daily clerical and operational support. Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Required

Bachelor's degree and two years of professional experience in marketing, fundraising, event planning, public relations, corporate account sales, or communications; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Some knowledge of development and fundraising principles or ability to learn quickly
Strong organizational and time-management skills; ability to prioritize among multiple demands of the position
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to establish and maintain respectful, collegial, professional relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders

Preferred

Considerable background in music (an undergraduate major or minor preferred), administration, fundraising, event planning, and/or public relations
Experience with donor engagement and cultivation efforts
Interest in pursuing a career in advancement or fundraising
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with donor databases preferred
