Responsibilities
Design and develop advanced rotating equipment and auxiliary systems through stage gate process
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications
Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure product performance and reliability
FEA – stress analysis and CFD modeling (Ansys Fluent/CFX)
Create CAD models and drawings and facilitate their review for accuracy. GD&T & Engineering Drawing Literacy
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
5+ years of experience in mechanical design and development
Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies
Proficiency in CAD/FEA software and design tools, enabling effective solutions within the design process
Experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools to ensure product reliability
Strong understanding of product testing and validation processes within stage gate processes
Preferred
Master's degree in engineering
3+ years of rotating equipment experience
Product design utilizing structural and/or CFD experience desired. Ansys experience is a plus
Experience in advanced mechanical design
Proven track record of successful mechanical design projects
Ability to collaborate with global teams and support team learning
Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices
Active participation in maintaining positive culture and safe working environment
