Responsibilities

Oversee complex, high-impact projects on behalf of the department that are critical to the Institute's strategic objectives
Create, manage, and carry out detailed project plans to support considerable short and long-term change at Dana-Farber, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and long-term goals
Collaborate closely with Director of Payer Finance and Strategy to develop all materials related to negotiations with major payers including proposals and PowerPoint presentations for negotiation meetings
Create and manage process to monitor and review payer policy and procedure changes
Engage with a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior leadership, to drive project success and foster collaboration across the organization

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 5 years of experience required
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft business applications, i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to deliver presentations to a wide variety of audiences – up to and including executive level and C-Suite executives
Ability to work effectively while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
Adept at collaborating with team members and leadership to drive successful contracting outcomes
Capability to work independently and meet deadlines with general supervision
Ability to work in a matrixed environment and cross collaborate with others at varying reporting levels within and external to the organization
Excellent communication skills with the ability to independently draft presentation materials and proposals for broad audiences
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, exceptional organizational skills and superior attention to detail
Ability to cooperate and collaborate with multiple, cross-functional teams through superior interpersonal and communication skills
Strong decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

Preferred

Master's degree preferred
Experience in healthcare contracting and/or consulting experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of clinical delivery systems, third party reimbursement, commercial payment methodologies and acute interest in evolving health reform preferred
