Commercial Credit Intern

Responsibilities

Participate in rotations across key banking areas, including Private Banking, Business Banking, Middle Market, Commercial Real Estate, Treasury Management, Enterprise Risk Management, and Wealth Management, among others
Undertake an annual review project specifically assigned by the credit department and present findings and recommendations to leadership
Utilize the bank’s financial spreading software to analyze both business and personal financial statements and create custom spreadsheets tailored to bank standards
Gain hands-on experience with Broadway Bank’s core systems and document imaging software
Collect and interpret basic credit data on businesses and individuals to assist in preparing loan approval presentations
Participate in comprehensive credit training sessions to enhance technical skills and industry knowledge
Attend Senior Officer Loan Committee meetings to understand the commercial loan approval process
Execute special projects related to the bank's lending operations as assigned
Build connections with teams and leaders across the organization, fostering a deeper understanding of banking operations
Participate in mentoring sessions and receive feedback to enhance personal and professional growth

Required

Must be entering Junior or Senior year of college
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in business, finance, or accounting
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Eagerness to learn and apply new concepts in a dynamic work setting
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Availability to commit to the full 10-week internship program
Willingness to adhere to Broadway Bank's core values and maintain the highest standards of professionalism
Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, pull weights or otherwise move objects weighing as much as 10 lbs. on a regular basis and/or for extended periods of time during the workday
