Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections of the hotel premises to identify necessary repairs and maintenance investments
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks on equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting
Respond promptly to guest requests and service issues to ensure an outstanding guest experience
Undertake regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure all facilities are functioning properly
Collaborate with contractors and vendors for larger projects, ensuring work is completed to satisfactory standards
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair works
Adhere to all health and safety regulations to assure guest and team member safety
Assist in developing and implementing energy-saving initiatives
Participate in the hotel emergency response team for all facility issues
Qualification
Required
Proven experience as a maintenance engineer or in a similar role
Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, and HVAC
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
Preferred
Certification in maintenance engineering is highly desirable
