Design & Release Engineer (High Voltage)
Akkodis is seeking a Design & Release Engineer (High Voltage) for a Contract with a client in Dearborn, MI. You will lead engineering efforts by developing HV power outlet systems and mentoring junior engineers to ensure safe, compliant, and innovative product performance.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and release high‑voltage power outlets and consumer charging systems for ICE and EV applications
Lead testing, validation, and troubleshooting of AC/DC charging technologies to ensure safety, compliance, and global regulatory adherence
Define technical requirements, electrical architectures, and embedded system interfaces, including CAN/LIN communication protocols
Create and review 3D models, engineering drawings, and design documentation using CATIA and other CAD tools
Drive PPAP processes and ensure product readiness from prototype through production, including continuous improvement activities
Provide technical leadership by mentoring junior engineers and guiding cross‑functional teams through design, integration, and release cycles
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline
Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, developing, and testing consumer charging systems or high‑voltage electrical products
Proven expertise in AC/DC charging technologies, high‑voltage power outlets, and automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN)
Strong proficiency in embedded systems, electrical circuit design, and global safety/regulatory standards (ISO 26262, UL, IEC, FuSa)
