Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end product development lifecycle from concept ideation through market launch
Develop comprehensive product roadmaps aligned with business objectives and market opportunities
Oversee cross-functional product development teams, including designers, manufacturing, and project managers
Establish and maintain product development processes, timelines, and quality standards
Drive design innovation and aesthetic direction for home decor product lines while working with outside designers
Collaborate with design teams to create compelling, market-relevant product concepts
Balance creative vision with commercial viability and manufacturing constraints
Monitor and analyze emerging design trends, consumer preferences, and lifestyle shifts
Conduct competitive analysis and market positioning studies
Translate trend insights into actionable product development strategies
Maintain awareness of cultural, demographic, and seasonal influences on design preferences
Partner with manufacturing teams to ensure product designs are optimized for production
Oversee toll gate processes to balance quality, cost, and efficiency
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to maintain production standards and timelines
Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market research to inform product decisions
Develop and track key performance indicators for product success
Utilize market data to identify opportunities for product line extensions and new categories
Present data-driven insights and recommendations to executive leadership
Manage product portfolio optimization, including discontinuation decisions and resource allocation
Develop pricing strategies and margin optimization across the product line
Lead product portfolio reviews and strategic pivots based on market performance
Drive innovation pipeline and new category exploration
Lead voice-of-customer research and user experience optimization
Establish product testing protocols and customer validation processes

Required

10+ years' experience working with decorative products sold ideally in the National Accounts (Lowe's, Home Depot) with a demonstrated track record of business growth and portfolio management
5+ years of Relevant product development experience with extensive program management
Practical analytic skills and forecasting principles
Strong financial acumen
General understanding of design, and the ability to work collaboratively with a design team
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to foster cross-functional relationships
Systematic problem-solving and decision-making ability
Innovative competency - thinks creatively with foresight and acts strategically
Global travel as needed, monthly travel to the customer and factory required
College Degree or professional experience equivalent (Master's Preferred)
Extensive knowledge of National Accounts (Lowe's, F&D, Home Depot)
Strong skill set in the use of the Office suite (Excel, Word)
Data analysis - collect, organize, and interpret data
Organization and creative copywriting skills
Experienced in utilizing various software systems for sales tracking, copy development, and editing, Microsoft 356 Suite, and project management software
Practical verbal and written communication skills
Project management
Firm understanding of sales and product principles
Team player, strong work ethic, ambitious
Demonstrated leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills
Must interface with others at all levels, from executive to hourly
