Responsibilities

Act as a trusted resource for employees, offering guidance and assistance with HR policies, procedures, and employee relations issues
Manage the employee onboarding process from pre-hire to week one including supporting new hire orientation, verification of I-9 forms, benefits enrollment, and direct deposit setup. Coordinate offboarding activities and conduct exit interviews, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, including personnel files, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions. Handle digital and physical filing of paperwork
Collaborate on the implementation of employee engagement initiatives, such as recognition programs, employee surveys, and social events
Provide administrative support to the recruitment efforts for hourly employees, including phone screens, setting interviews, and offer management
Serve as the site Wellness Champion collaborating on safety initiatives to help promote a culture of workplace safety. Assist in coordinating wellness programs and activities for employee well-being
Assist in managing weekly payroll and oversee payroll program activities, such as Perfect Attendance and payroll adjustment forms
Support facilities activities including ordering catering, managing and maintaining office supplies, and creating badges for new employees
Other Duties as Assigned

Required

1-3 years of HR experience, with a focus on providing support in employee relations, performance management, and HR operations (HR internship experience accepted)
Knowledge of HR practices, policies, and legal requirements
Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with employees at all levels
Proficiency in Payroll systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information proficiently
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, particularly in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Associate's degree in human resources management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Proficiency in HCM Systems (Workday, preferred but not required)
