F‑35 Weapons Flight Test Engineer – Level 5

Responsibilities
Serve as the local subject matter expert (SME) and develop weapons test plans, schedules, and resource allocations for multiple F-35 variants requiring interface with the local ITF, Fort Worth SMEs, system vendors, COMSEC authorities, Mission Planning, and potentially other sites
Direct ground and flights test missions while serving as the lead weapons discipline engineer, interfacing with range personnel, maintenance, ordinance technicians, test operations, and other discipline engineers
Conduct procedural weapon system checkouts as well as provide remote or on-site support of troubleshooting efforts if issues arise
Compile and analyze data from test events to produce comprehensive test reports and data packages to be presented to program leadership and the customer
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance
10+ years of experience with developmental or operational flight test
Control room monitoring experience using IADS (Interactive Analysis and Display Systems)
In-depth technical knowledge of MIL-STD-1553 and Universal Armament Interface (UAI)
Strong oral and verbal communication skills
Background/working knowledge in multiple languages such as Python, Microsoft (VBA), SQL, Matlab
