Responsibilities
Reads instructions for job ticket and sets the press up or directs set-up of press based on instructions
Responsible for make-ready/set-up of screen press to ensure proper machine set-up, registration, ink viscosity, color, to include mixing colors, and print quality
Responsible for optimum speed, registration, and print quality according to established standards
Run, adjust, and troubleshoot production jobs on the screen press
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance
Maintains and provides production logs and reports, as necessary
Accounts for labor and materials consumed through accurate data collection
Assists management in the training of production personnel
Assists management with ink inventory
Assists in general cleaning up and keeping the work area neat and orderly
Assists in the disposal of garbage and recycling bins in the screen press area
Deals with customers and clients in a professional and polite manner as needed
May need to perform prepress tasks such as screen prep, block out, imaging screens as needed
Works overtime as needed
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Knowledge of how to mix and produce correct color in printing
Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions
Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Problem solving skills
Knowledge of press operations and functions
Reliability through attendance, punctuality, and attention to workstation
Positive safety attitude
Preferred
Previous experience on the same or functionally similar press
