Responsibilities
Create or evolve dynamic interfaces and business logic integrated workflows to support multiple projects under NAWCAD WOLF ASI, associated DoD/Federal programs, and NAS Pax River
Support in-house products, mission information systems delivered over containerization and web deployments for a range of sustainment, safety, and analytic parts of the larger Fleet and Systems Sustainment workflows
Work on multiple project efforts in parallel either with some or no shared features/codebase
Engage with all types of stakeholders from non-technical customer and end-user representatives to other discipline functional experts to developers of diverse background
Apply systems thinking and atomic design patterns when translating design, objectives, and requirements from high level user stories and evolutionary rapid prototyping
Create sharable or repurpose and modify existing codebase in a non-disruptive way while maintaining configuration management through APIs, containers, software components, templates and code libraries
Decompose high level requirements, use cases, and user stories into developmental tasks working with Analysts, Developers, and Designers
Debug and troubleshoot applications to facilitate fixes and improvements
Participate in the full project life cycle from concept to delivery, including requirements gathering, developing project plans, architecting solutions and testing
Lead and mentor developers and software development focused blended teams
Qualification
Required
A bachelor's degree in computer science, math, engineering, science, media development, or information/data discipline with at least 10 years' experience
An Associates in a relevant field as described earlier with at least 12 years' experience
A high school diploma/GED with at least 16 years' experience
A relevant professional certification (Security+, SAFe Agile Software Engineer/SAFe for Architect, MCSD, JavaScript Developer Certification, Container technologies/development, etc.) may be substituted for 1 year of experience
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen and able to qualify for a Security Clearance
Active Security Clearance is a plus
Selected candidate will be required to obtain Security+ or a higher level cybersecurity certification within 4 months of start
7 years of experience in three or more of the below areas or 10+ in at least two areas: Legacy system evolution to Cloud/Container architecture, ETL/ELT development, implementation, and cross-solution integration, JavaScript development in SPA sites/applications, Microsoft .NET Framework (C# preferred) or Java, Data Lake/Mart/Warehouse development and interface optimization, Automated document generation and transformation into structured data, XML development and data transformation working with complex data sets and/or standard driven schemas such as S1000D, SCORM, xAPI, etc., Microservice architecture and development, Application of scalable design within Agile Development or DEVSECOPS, Web Services with JavaScript (AJAX) Web service data formats (YAML, JSON, JSON-P, XML), MIS Software Development, DoD Software Development, Developer and non-developer tool development, API Development
Demonstrated ability to engage with all types of stakeholders from non-technical customer and end-user representatives to other discipline functional experts to developers of diverse background in manners that show leadership, move the project(s) forward, and encourage collaboration
Demonstrated ability to apply systems thinking and atomic design patterns when translating design, objectives, and requirements from high level user stories and evolutionary rapid prototyping
Demonstrated ability to re-purpose and modify existing codebase or integrate new code in a non-disruptive way while maintaining configuration management
Demonstrated ability to create sharable or re-purposing and modifying existing codebase in a non-disruptive way while maintaining configuration management through APIs, containers, software components, templates and code libraries
Demonstrated ability to decompose high level requirements, use cases, and user stories into developmental tasks working with Analysts, Developers, and Designers
Strong skills in debugging and troubleshooting applications to facilitate fixes and improvements
Strong organizational and prioritization skills including excellent ability to apply self-motivation and ownership on multi-disciplinary projects
Ability to work with a geographically distributed team of integrated analysts, SMEs, developers, and systems architects
Ability to communicate technical issues and implementations to non-technical users for both troubleshooting and product enhancements
Experience Developing solutions for deployment within DoD and National Guard environments including DoD Websites, NMCI, and Fleet infrastructure
Experience and strong desire to participate in the full project life cycle from concept to delivery. This includes requirements gathering, developing project plans, architecting solutions and testing
Experience leading and mentoring developers and software development focused blended teams
