Responsibilities

Install, configure, calibrate, and test control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and related devices
Read and interpret electrical schematics, control drawings, and technical documentation
Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair control panels, wiring, and field devices to minimize downtime
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on automated equipment and control systems
Program and modify PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, and automation software per project requirements
Assist in the design and implementation of new automation projects and system modifications
Collaborate with engineers and project managers on system upgrades and process improvements
Ensure compliance with safety codes, standards, and company policies
Train operators and maintenance personnel on control systems and provide technical support
Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide after-hours support as needed
Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in automation and controls
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Associate degree or technical diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, or related field; or equivalent experience
2-5 years' experience with control systems in industrial or commercial settings
Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and instrumentation
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documents
Experience programming and troubleshooting automation platforms (e.g., Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider Electric)
Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.)
Proficient with diagnostic tools like multimeters and oscilloscopes
Basic networking knowledge related to industrial control systems
Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams
Physical ability to climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in various environments
Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including occasional nights and weekends

Preferred

Preferred certifications in PLC programming or industrial controls (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley)
