Responsibilities
Responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day activities and service delivery of Claims Supervisors, Claims Examiners, and/or other claims professionals
Manages performance/KPIs to operational and financial targets
Responsible for developing relationships and effectively communicating with a diverse range of clients, carriers and colleagues
Responsible for oversight of TPA performance
Monitors vendor performance and controls expenses
Responsible for managing insurance claims on a portfolio level for our clients
Responsible for developing the technical, customer service and leadership skills across the operation
Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the Renters Claims Operation
Works with insurance company partners and clients in establishing claims protocols that ensure proper reporting, notification, settlement authorities, etc
Provides summaries of claims reviews, activities, etc. to appropriate Advisors, Senior Leaders, and other colleagues and clients as necessary
Participates in claims audits, internal and external
Qualification
Required
7+ years' experience in claims
Experience leading a team comprised of 6 or more claims professionals
Must have Property & Casualty Insurance License or be willing to obtain a license within the first 90 days of hire and maintain a license going forward
Excellent operational management skills
Strong coaching, organizational and time management skills
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and provide superior customer service over the phone and through digital/written correspondence
Excellent analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, Word, Excel, and various other computer skills with the ability to learn and utilize new computer systems and other technologies
Ability to work independently and prioritize assignments, and to seek guidance where needed
Demonstrates the organization's core values, aligned with the firm's culture
Preferred
Bachelor's degree
