Responsibilities
Deliver exceptional nursing care to post-heart surgery patients, managing complex cardiovascular conditions
Utilize advanced devices such as Swan-Ganz catheters, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), and Impella ventricular support systems
Monitor hemodynamics and manage ventilators in a fast-paced CVICU environment
Collaborate within a multi-hospital system, floating between facilities to meet patient care needs
Adhere strictly to all safety protocols in a smoke-free environment
Complete time-sensitive training modules prior to assignment start time
Utilize EPIC electronic health records for documentation and communication
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
active registered nurse (RN) license
minimum 1+ years RN experience
1-2 years of open heart ICU nursing experience with ventilator management
Current BLS and ACLS certifications at time of application
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required before starting
Ability to float across multiple hospital locations within a 20-mile radius
Nicotine-free status with negative drug and nicotine screen (10-panel and cotinine screening)
Willingness to work night shifts of 3 consecutive 12-hour rotations (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
Experience with cardiovascular devices and advanced hemodynamic monitoring equipment
