Responsibilities
Maintain and administer core networking infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless controllers, and access points
Manage and support wide area and local area networks (WAN/LAN) to ensure proper functionality and configuration
Maintain and administer VoIP phone systems and related network services
Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and partners regarding network-related products, services, and issues
Perform periodic network inventory reviews and configuration audits
Lead IT projects from planning through completion
Schedule and coordinate network hardware maintenance windows with support personnel
Provide remote support and participate in an on-call rotation as required
Develop, maintain, and implement processes, policies, and procedures related to network services and equipment
Research, test, and evaluate new and emerging network technologies; provide recommendations to the Operations Manager
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering required
An additional four (4) years of highly relevant full-time experience (14 years total) may be considered in lieu of a four-year degree
Minimum of ten (10) years of full-time, relevant experience in network design and support, including LAN, WAN, and wireless environments
Design and support of VoIP systems and/or QoS/CoS
Network protocols (BGP, MPLS, VPN, OSPF, TCP/IP, STP)
Authentication and authorization technologies (802.1x, NAC, Aruba ClearPass, Cisco ISE, or equivalent) and ACLs
VPN technologies (site-to-site, IPsec, always-on VPN clients)
Hands-on experience with switches, routers, and firewalls
Working with service provider-supported environments
Strong technical documentation skills
Professional communication with internal departments and stakeholders
Preferred
Experience working in a highly regulated industry
Familiarity with Fortinet, Aruba OS, and Aruba OS-CX
Relevant certifications (Cisco, Aruba, or similar)
