Responsibilities
Accountable for delivering comprehensive nursing care to Emergency Department patients using the Nursing Process
Anticipate patient needs and plan care safely and effectively
Maintain clinical competencies through ongoing education
Delegate nursing tasks according to team members skills and experience
Provide guidance and supervision to assigned personnel during shifts
Qualification
Required
Nursing degree
active registered nurse (RN) license
minimum 1+ years RN experience
Current AL Registered Nurse (RN) license
ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications through the American Heart Association (no RQI certifications accepted)
Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification
Experience providing direct patient care in an Emergency Room setting
Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
Effective leadership and delegation abilities to manage care teams
Familiarity with hospital policies and state Nurse Practice Act standards
