FirstLight Federal Credit Union is seeking a Mortgage Loan Processor II who is responsible for reviewing and processing residential mortgage loan applications from initial submission through final approval and closing. This role involves verifying borrower information, ordering and reviewing required documentation, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and investor guidelines.

Responsibilities

Reviewing and processing residential mortgage loan applications from initial submission through final approval and closing
Verifying borrower information
Ordering and reviewing required documentation
Clearing underwriting conditions
Ensuring all loans meet federal, state, and investor guidelines
Communicating regularly with borrowers, loan officers, real estate agents, and title companies to ensure files move smoothly through the pipeline
Supporting closing and funding activities by preparing accurate documentation and ensuring files are complete, compliant, and ready for transfer to servicing

Qualification

Mortgage processing experienceNMLS registrationAssociates degreeBachelor’s degreeCommunication skills

Required

Associates degree in related field or two (2) years of mortgage experience in lieu of education
All FLFCU employees who act as a Processor are required to register with the NMLS or be registered on behalf of FLFCU, obtain a unique identifier, and maintain their registration current in accordance with the SAFE Act and FLFCU Policy. Registration must be attained within thirty (30) days of hire and maintained annually thereafter
FLFCU Annual Processor Recertification is required
Two (2) years of mortgage processing experience

Preferred

Bachelor's degree related in business or finance
