Certified Payroll Specialist

Responsibilities

Prepare and compose correspondence accurately and efficiently

Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines in a timely manner
Communicate professionally and effectively with supervisors, employees, and external partners, both independently and in team settings
Thoroughly understand, process, and maintain certified payroll documents, including but not limited to:
Certified Payroll Reports
Statements of Non-Performance
DAS 140 forms
Fringe Benefit Statements
Union status letters
Ensure all subcontractor payroll reports are accurate, current, and maintained in proper numerical sequence
Submit certified payroll documentation to project owners on a weekly basis
Perform ongoing audits of active jobs to ensure all required documentation is complete and up to date
Minimize payroll deductions by resolving missing or incomplete reports promptly
Follow up on pending documentation in a timely manner
Scan, file, and maintain all certified payroll and compliance-related records
Assist with payroll processing and other construction administration functions as needed
Complete special projects as assigned
Attend seminars, meetings, and training sessions as requested to remain current in all areas of responsibility
Work during normal operating hours to meet deadlines; overtime and weekend work may be required as needed
Qualification
Required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, LCP Tracker, eMars, DIR, and other relevant software programs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Positive, proactive, well-organized, and a strong team contributor with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects using strong organizational and communication skills
Strong sense of responsibility for timely and accurate completion of work, with a commitment to company goals
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, demanding work environment
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of four (4) years of experience processing prevailing wage reporting using DIR, eMars, and LCP Tracker within a construction office environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
