New Grad, Entry LevelLovelace Health System is seeking an energetic Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join their Thoracic Surgery team in Tyler, Texas, providing exceptional care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role involves managing hospitalized thoracic patients, performing clinical procedures, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure quality care and continuity for patients.

Responsibilities
Manage hospitalized thoracic patients through daily rounds, lab and imaging review, and clinical decision-making
Document daily progress notes and maintain accurate medical records
Perform credentialed procedures as needed
Participate in post-discharge follow-up to ensure continuity of care
Independently and collaboratively see patients in the clinic
Assist with patient communications, including returning calls and coordinating care
Provide thorough patient education regarding thoracic procedures
Coordinate and schedule lab work and imaging studies
Optional first assist in thoracic surgical cases, including robotic procedures
Support surgeons in the operating room and perioperative care
Collaborate with nurses, social workers, and other staff to facilitate safe and timely discharges
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, patients, and families
Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and experiences
Qualification
Required
BC/BE as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Preferred
Previous OR experience preferred
