They are seeking a creative, reliable, and motivated Communications Intern to support the Club’s communications efforts during the spring and summer season, focusing on event photography and visual content creation.

Responsibilities
Photograph Club activities and events, including:
Golf tournaments, racquets clinics, junior camps, swim meets, and weekday programming
Food & Beverage operations (menu items, weekly specials, cocktails, behind-the-scenes content)
Larger Club-wide events such as the •Southside Opener• and •Family Fun Day BBQ•
Capture high-quality, on-brand photos using Club-provided cameras and iPhone photography
Organize, upload, and archive photo and video content for Club use
Assist with creating visual and written materials, including:
Social media graphics
Event flyers, signage, menus, tournament materials, and merchandise
Internal documents, presentations, and newsletters
Work primarily in Canva , following established brand guidelines
Support digital announcements and in-house communications
Gain hands-on exposure to additional platforms such as CapCut, Vimeo, SmugMug , and basic AI design tools
Collaborate with multiple Club departments to support communications needs and gain a well-rounded understanding of Club operations
Internship responsibilities may be tailored based on individual interests (e.g., golf, racquets, sailing, food & beverage)
Qualification
Required
Current student or recent graduate pursuing a degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field
Basic photography skills required
Strong attention to detail and visual composition
Interest in writing, storytelling, and visual communications
Organized, dependable, and deadline-oriented
Professional demeanor appropriate for a premier private club environment
Strong understanding of confidentiality and discretion
Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time
Willingness to work occasional evenings and weekends for major Club events
Preferred
Prior Canva experience strongly preferred
