Lab Technician

Responsibilities

Perform physical, microbiological and chemical analyses on wines, grapes, water and incoming materials
Operate and maintain instruments such as auto-titrators, refractometers, GC, IR and spectrophotometers
Support microbiological sampling and bottling-line sanitation monitoring
Prepare media and standard solutions
Log samples and results in the LIMS
Participate in method development, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance within an ISO 17025-compliant quality system
Evaluate QC data
Follow response plans for out-of-tolerance results
Make practical suggestions to improve lab practices
Support timely, customer-focused data release

Required

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Food Science, or Biochemistry; OR Associates degree plus 1 year of laboratory support experience; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 4 years of laboratory support
Skilled in writing simple correspondence
Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers
Required to maintain 3 shift availability (day, swing, and graveyard); required to work overtime when necessary; required to work weekends when necessary
Required to be at least 21 years of age
Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation
Required to be 18 years or older
