IT Business Analyst - Commercial Payments

KeyBank is a financial services company, and they are seeking an IT Business Analyst to work with a cross-functional team in optimizing application capabilities and business processes. This role involves providing business analysis and project support for the development and enhancement of relevant lines of business.

Responsibilities

Influence requirements for new application features and enhancements that are consistent with strategic priorities
Participates in the design process to ensure it supports business requirements and an optimized user experience
Capture requirements for a moderately complex system and/or multiple systems; understands the SDLC and its impact on deliverables
Translate business requirements into technical requirements and convey with appropriate level of detail to the development team
Broaden expertise of the business and work with technical and business teams to support business objectives
Support and/or participate in user acceptance testing to ensure quality in application releases and user experience
Understands security, risk management, and IT process principles and escalate to appropriate team(s) as needed
Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice

Required

1+ years of relevant experience
Minimum of 3 years of ACH experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of how to understand and provide insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintain focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services
Working knowledge of major production application systems used for delivery of services to internal and external clients; ability to leverage major production application systems in diverse situations
Working knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions
Working knowledge of the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos and achieving business results; ability to lead employees from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team
Working knowledge of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Working knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization
Working knowledge of the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
Working knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems
Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project
Working knowledge of the activities, tasks, deliverables and techniques for documenting current business processes; ability to identify problems, opportunities, and re-engineering processes for improvement
Basic understanding of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements
Working knowledge of and experience with the business aspects and operation of a software product; ability to manage install base, current uses, future plans, and product vision
Working knowledge of major tasks, deliverables, and formal application delivery methodologies; ability to utilize these in order to deliver new or enhanced applications

Preferred

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Accredited ACH Professional certification
