IT Project Manager (Life Sciences)
Capgemini Engineering is a global business and technology transformation partner, and they are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead complex, high-impact initiatives. The role involves driving strategic programs, collaborating with diverse teams, and delivering technological solutions in a highly regulated environment.
Responsibilities
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale, cross‑functional IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned initiatives, promoting clarity, accountability, and effective collaboration
Define project scope, objectives, requirements, and key deliverables
Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans—including schedules, estimates, resource plans, risk logs, and status reports
Conduct project meetings and ensure consistent tracking, reporting, and communication across stakeholders
Review and validate project deliverables to ensure quality, regulatory compliance, and alignment with standards
Manage vendor engagements, including task coordination, integration oversight, and deliverable reviews
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks, issues, and scope changes
Oversee project financials, ensuring visibility into budgeting, forecasting, and performance against plan
Provide timely updates and facilitate efficient decision‑making through clear, concise reporting
Capture lessons learned, promote continuous improvement, and obtain final project approvals
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, or related discipline
8+ years of experience in project management, business systems analysis, or software development
Proven track record delivering cross‑functional IT programs or projects within a corporate environment
Strong leadership skills with experience working in a global matrix organization
Solid understanding of software development practices, methodologies, tools, and quality processes
Familiarity with technologies supporting Privacy, Compliance, Legal systems, and website development
Hands‑on experience using Agile project management tools such as Jira and Smartsheet for backlog management, reporting, and tracking
Strong analytical abilities with proficiency in creating dashboards, metrics, and reports in Excel and related tools
Preferred
Experience working with validated software in medical, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environments
Strong proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel (including advanced functions, reporting, and dashboards)
