Responsibilities
Effectively communicate with Project Managers and support staff regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications
Enter change requests into the accounting system and maintain up-to-date project cost information
Prepare and submit all project-related billings to customers using AIA Forms
Enter billings into third party applications as needed - Textura, GC Pay, etc
Prepare, request, and maintain waivers, affidavits, and collections for assigned projects
Monitor and assist Project Manager with project-related expenses, investigating invoice discrepancies and all project expenses not billed to customers
Communicate with customer regarding unpaid contract billings
Monitor and update project projections weekly with Project Managers
Create subcontract agreements for Project Managers
Request insurance certificates from subcontractors
Investigate project variances and submit variance reports to management
Report on project profitability to management
Close out project accounts upon project completion
Create and provide various reports related to projects
Compile information for internal and external audits, as required
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Communications
5+ years of Construction Accounting experience preferred
Effectively communicate, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of employees, suppliers, and customers
Ability to read and understand various AP and JC reports in order to resolve any discrepancies
Must be able to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-task environment
