University Health KC is seeking a Program Coordinator II for the Jackson County Health Department. The role involves overseeing Community Access programs, supervising staff, and managing harm reduction service delivery, including community education and outreach activities.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and support daily program operations, activities, and events
Supervise and support staff as assigned, including coaching and team check-ins
Track program goals, deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements
Maintain accurate records, data, and documentation
Monitor program performance and help improve outcomes using data
Support community engagement, outreach events, and partnerships
Prepare reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders
Assist with budgets, grants, and compliance requirements
Represent JCPH at community meetings, health fairs, and public events
Promote a collaborative, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed team culture
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and public health standards
Be flexible—local travel and occasional evenings/weekends may be required
Support emergency response efforts when needed

Required

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent education plus 2 years of experience
Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Comfortable with data entry, scheduling, and documentation
Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software
Experience working with diverse communities and cultures
Ability to present information to groups and solve problems logically
Ability to work independently with minimal direction
Valid driver's eligibility

Preferred

Master's degree in public health, health education/promotion, social work, or a related field
Knowledge of behavioral epidemiology and health education principles
