SOC Administrator

Advanced Energy is a global leader in precision power conversion solutions, headquartered in Denver, Colorado. They are seeking a SOC Administrator responsible for real-time threat detection and response, monitoring security platforms, and collaborating to maintain a strong cybersecurity posture.

Responsibilities

Proactively detect and mitigate cybersecurity threats across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments
Continuously monitor and analyze security events using SIEM, EDR, MDR, and DLP platforms
Collaborate with other SOC Team members, cybersecurity analysts, other members of IT staff, and end users to resolve incidents
Respond to alerts, perform triage, and escalate cases as needed
Conduct threat hunting activities and incident investigations to maintain our cybersecurity posture
Prepare security reports and metrics, assist with cybersecurity projects, and engage in exercises with the Information Security Team

Required

Strong understanding of IT infrastructure: endpoints, networking, email, identity, and cloud services
Practical knowledge of common attack vectors and security frameworks (e.g., MITRE ATT&CK)
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Proficient in problem solving, troubleshooting, documenting, and reporting
Passionate about cybersecurity and committed to continuous learning
3+ years of experience in working in a SOC or other cybersecurity role
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or GSEC
