Responsibilities
Develop enterprise-grade applications for our insurance platforms using modern Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, Next.js and Jutro
Handle frontend development efforts using Tailwind CSS, custom component libraries, and responsive design principles
Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services that are secure, scalable, and performant
Collaborate with stakeholders across teams to gather requirements, assess technical feasibility, and translate business needs into actionable technical solutions
Drive best practices in testing, code quality, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization
Contribute to system architecture and design decisions, advocating for maintainability, performance, and reliability
Participate in peer code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and help define and refine engineering standards
Integrate with and extend Guidewire's Jutro framework to build reusable UI components and customer-facing functionality
Work on-site as part of a collaborative hybrid team, contributing to a positive engineering culture and team cohesion
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer, with demonstrated full-stack engineering capabilities
Strong command of: Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks); JavaScript & TypeScript; Node.js; CSS & Tailwind CSS
