Senior LevelAgreeYa Solutions is seeking a Network Architect Consultant to design and implement modern networking technologies for CalPERS Investment Office. The role involves developing advanced network solutions and ensuring high availability and resiliency for cloud and on-premises systems.

Responsibilities
Develop advanced network solutions to meet the needs of cloud platforms, including Snowflake and SimCorp, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with organizational goals
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the network infrastructure supports the unique requirements of data platforms like Snowflake
Implement automated monitoring and failover mechanisms to ensure uninterrupted connectivity across core infrastructure
Design solutions for seamless transitions to alternate connectivity paths during failures, prioritizing critical applications such as BlackRock Aladdin, Snowflake, SimCorp, and other INVO partner products
Plan and design secure, modern networking technologies, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), and Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
Leverage Terraform and other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate the provisioning, configuration, and management of network infrastructure
Ensure IaC practices are integrated into the network architecture to improve efficiency, enable repeatable deployments, and reduce manual errors
Align all advanced technology integrations with CalPERS’ enterprise goals, ensuring enhanced network performance, scalability, and security
Perform ongoing maintenance and operations for on-premises and cloud-based network components, including: Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, Infoblox IP Management, Identity Services Engine (ISE) for port security, VPN and Site-to-Site VPN tunnels, Wireless Networking, Cacti and SolarWinds for alerting and monitoring, Access Control Server (Device Authentication), SecureCRT (CLI Solution), Cyclades Management, Gigamon Switch Monitoring, Switching and Routing (all aspects)
Design and implement secure, modern networking technologies, such as SDN, SD-WAN, and NFV
Monitor and optimize network performance to ensure scalability, reliability, and security across all enterprise systems
Maintain consistent communication with the contract manager and other stakeholders to provide updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with project goals
Qualification
Required
Experience in designing and implementing modern networking technologies
Knowledge of cloud platforms, including Snowflake and SimCorp
Ability to develop advanced network solutions ensuring scalability and security
Experience with automated monitoring and failover mechanisms
Knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), Software-Defined Wide Area Networking (SD-WAN), and Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform
Ability to integrate IaC practices into network architecture
Experience in managing enterprise data networks
Knowledge of firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, Infoblox IP Management, Identity Services Engine (ISE), VPN and Site-to-Site VPN tunnels, Wireless Networking, Cacti, SolarWinds, Access Control Server, SecureCRT, Cyclades Management, Gigamon Switch Monitoring, and Switching and Routing
Ability to monitor and optimize network performance
Strong communication skills to maintain consistent communication with stakeholders
