Intelligence Program Analyst

Responsibilities

Serves as a program analyst, technical authority, and intelligence expert responsible for the execution and development of policy, plans, programs, procedures, and training for agency-wide intelligence and security capabilities and support
Provides technical advice and staff support to the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) senior leadership on highly complex intelligence matters related to national security activities
Conducts research and analysis of counterterrorism and foreign military forces, operations, capabilities, and trends to support all-source intelligence and threat production
Oversee the implementation of plans, programs, and procedures for performance of intelligence activity at DLA locations throughout the globe
Analyzes intelligence information to assess developments, trends, and threat implications within assigned geographical and functional areas
Maintains liaison with personnel in assigned and related fields, such as those in other intelligence agencies to discuss mutual force protection and intelligence issues and production efforts
Prepares and presents briefings to senior-level management officials on intelligence matters

This is a Mission Essential (ME) position. The incumbent may be required to report to work in the event of a natural disaster, inclement weather, or crisis
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position
To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector
Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement
Creditable specialized experience includes: Demonstrated experience researching and analyzing information to assess developments, trends, and threat implications within geographical and functional areas
Conducting research and analysis of foreign threats and foreign military forces, operations, capabilities, and trends to support all-source intelligence threat production
Preparing and presenting briefings to senior-level management officials on intelligence matters
Conducting valid threat assessments
Analyzing or evaluating finished information from a variety of sources, such as, surveillance, intelligence networks or geographic information systems
