Responsibilities

Lead a cross-functional team as Project Engineer for technical support of solid propulsion manufacturing, aging, sustainment, and design modernization
Develop program execution plans, manage execution of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to meet program objectives
Coordinate with both internal NG and external USG customers
Supports production and test operations
Development of test plans and coordination of testing with test engineers
Identification of risks/mitigations and tracking to closure
Coordinate and conducting milestone reviews
Lead problem and failure investigations
Write technical reports, present internally and externally
Coordination of engineering efforts across multiple design, analysis, production, and test groups as well as teams consisting of multiple disciplines

Required

BS degree in Engineering required
8 Years with BS; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Ability to travel: Travel expectation of 10-20%
US Citizenship - required
Ability to obtain a DoD security clearance

Preferred

Experience in design, manufacture, and testing of solid rocket motors or demonstrate equivalent knowledge from related products
Knowledge of statistical process control and reliability engineering
Strong analytical problem-solving skills, and ability to deal with ambiguity
Excellent time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly present technical information at all organizational levels both internal and with Government customers
Ability to see how a complex system works (big picture) while working on individual component details and interactions to identify effects in data and determine cause within the hardware
Demonstrated team leadership skills - leader of significant technical projects or investigations and management of multiple program tasks
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining focused results within reliability, quality, schedule, and budget requirements / constraints
Strong sense of urgency and work ethic in ensuring engineering meets customer and program expectations in a timely and efficient manner
