Project Manager - Architecture

WJA Design Collaborative is a multidiscipline firm that has been in business for 60 years, focusing on integrated design approaches. They are seeking a Project Manager who will manage A-E projects and provide guidance and leadership to developing staff while maintaining a high level of service.

Responsibilities

Manage A-E projects, working in all stages of design from early concepts through Construction Administration
Enhance client relationships and collaborate with team members
Embrace sustainable design practices and holistic design approaches
Provide mentorship to younger staff
Work in multiple project roles depending on team structure, ranging from project management to production of working drawings, specification writing, technical narrative writing, graphics and marketing assistance
Manage multi-discipline A-E teams and exercise associated skills, including preparing project scopes and fee proposals, understanding the construction market and costs, obtaining permits, creating project schedules, preparing work plans, and coordinating design teams for successful delivery of design products

Required

Licensed architect, landscape architect, or civil engineer
Minimum of 12 years experience (after completing professional degree)
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Civil Engineering
Communication skills that enhance client relationships and collaboration with team members
Willingness to embrace sustainable design practices, and holistic design approaches
Desire for continued professional growth and willingness to provide mentorship to younger staff
Ability to work in multiple project roles depending on the team structure
Experience managing multi-discipline A-E teams
Ability to exercise skills including preparing project scopes and fee proposals
Understanding of the construction market and costs
Obtaining permits
Creating project schedules
Preparing work plans
Coordinating design teams for successful delivery of design products
Foundation in design skills that produce thoughtful design solutions for complex commercial projects
Technical skills: construction documents, code review, construction administration
Experience in Microsoft Office, BlueBeam and AutoCAD

Preferred

Experience with Revit
Working proficiency in Adobe's Creative Cloud Suite
