Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain the robust on-device runtime platform for Siri
Implement scalable, maintainable, and highly testable code, ensuring best practices in engineering
Debug, optimize, and profile system performance to ensure high-quality, responsive interactions
Apply LLMs and on-device intelligence to enhance Siri’s capabilities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ship new experiences
Leverage GenAI-based tooling to enhance engineering productivity, code quality, and efficiency at scale
Qualification
Required
BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
Strong proficiency in C++, Swift, or Objective-C, with a solid understanding of object-oriented programming
Strong understanding of OS internals, concurrency, multithreading, and memory management
Experience utilizing GenAI and LLM-based tools to accelerate engineering tasks (e.g., code generation, testing, or system analysis)
Experience with system performance analysis and optimization techniques
Ability to work independently, solve complex problems, and learn new technologies quickly
Excellent communication skills, with experience collaborating across different technical teams
Preferred
Proven professional experience designing, developing, and shipping high-quality production software
Proficiency with Swift and Xcode, with experience building applications for Apple platforms
Exposure to on-device development workflows (e.g., debugging tools, memory profiling, performance optimization)
Experience working on voice assistants or conversational AI systems leveraging Large Language Models (LLMs)
Experience with API design or framework development
