Responsibilities
Serving as the Scrum Master for 1-2 teams who are focused on different aspects of developing /deploying a suite of large and complex cloud-native web applications
Working in a hybrid Agile / Waterfall Web Application Product Development environment
Facilitating the Scrum Ceremonies - Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, while also managing project milestones and dependencies that fall outside the typical sprint cycle
Leading with emotional intelligence and strong conflict management
Supervising that Engineering Excellence is happening - making sure 1x1’s are happening, ensuring takeaways and follow ups are occurring
Providing Training / Mentoring / Conflict Management
Demonstrating diversity of thought and approach
Holding operational accountability with assigned team’s delivery metrics in JIRA - analyzing Velocity, Capacity, and Say/Do Ratios to identify why work is rolling over and implement corrective actions as needed
Removing blockers and impediments, actively engaging stakeholders across the organization to resolve technical and functional hurdles
Guiding the team in realistic estimation and capacity planning to reduce the current rollover rate and improve sprint health
Translate technical progress into clear, high-level status updates and reports for leadership, bridging the gap between agile team output and waterfall project roadmaps
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen (Federal Government end-customer)
Minimum 5 years working with App/Dev teams
Scrum Master Certified
Comfortable working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
Must have experience working with Cloud-Native Application Development Teams
