Responsibilities
Lead MEP projects in the field from preconstruction through closeout
Manage mechanical scopes (HVAC, piping, plumbing, etc.) while coordinating with electrical and plumbing teams
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and material procurement
Track progress, identify risks, and proactively resolve field issues
Read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, specifications, and submittals
Review shop drawings and assist with constructability reviews
Identify conflicts, RFIs, and scope gaps early and drive resolution
Support commissioning and turnover processes
Serve as the primary on-site PM and point of contact
Lead and coordinate mechanical installers, subcontractors, and foremen
Ensure work is installed per plans, specs, and code requirements
Conduct site walks, quality checks, and safety oversight
Interface with owners, general contractors, engineers, inspectors, and internal leadership
Lead coordination meetings and provide clear project updates
Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
7–15+ years of experience in mechanical or MEP construction, with progressive responsibility from field execution to project leadership
Proven experience managing MEP or mechanical construction projects in the field
Strong understanding of HVAC and mechanical systems; working knowledge of electrical and plumbing coordination
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
Comfortable transitioning from 'tools-on' experience into a PM leadership role
