Responsibilities
Working with other software teams to ensure they meet security requirements
Writing and reviewing security automation for critical procedures
Auditing configuration and logs to ensure compliance and identify problems
Collaborating with architects elements of system design
Refactoring legacy systems to reduce technical debt
Developing innersource libraries and operating software services to fill gaps
Staying ahead of new developments and advisories from the security community
Crafting security automation software
Testing integrations with other APIs, CICD platforms and deployment environments
Meeting with other application teams to review configuration
Triaging alerts from automated systems
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science or a related field
Final graduation date must fall between December 2026 and August 2027
Must be available to work 40 hours/week for the full duration of the internship program as outlined in the cohort dates
Some knowledge of security fundamentals and the 'secure by design' philosophy
Critical thinking skills
A willingness to question, collaborate and learn
Preferred
Systems and networking experience
Experience with CICD platforms (jenkins, github actions, etc)
Experience with container systems (docker, kubernetes)
Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc)
Strong technical writing and interpersonal skills
