Responsibilities
Perform light electrical work, plumbing repairs, HVAC maintenance, sheetrock and carpentry repairs, painting, and surface repairs
Carry out routine and emergency maintenance tasks, including mechanical repairs, electrical troubleshooting, and system calibrations
Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and hospital teams to prioritize and complete repair work efficiently
Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and incident reports
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulatory standards during all maintenance activities
Assist in the implementation of preventive maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failures
Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and restore normal operations
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in general maintenance, preferably in a healthcare environment
Working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and general building maintenance
Ability to read and interpret basic drawings, manuals and work orders
Familiarity with safety regulations and maintenance best practices
Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills
Effective communication and customer service skills when interacting with staff, patients and visitors
Preferred
Experience working in a hospital or healthcare facility
Trade certifications or vocational training in HVAC, Electrical or plumbing
Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements and life safety standards
