The Village of Fox Crossing is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. Fox Crossing Utility is accepting applications for a Summer Maintenance Worker in the Water Utility department, where the ideal candidate will assist in inspecting and maintaining the water distribution system and performing basic upkeep of utility buildings and grounds.

Responsibilities

Safely operates equipment and vehicles (safety training and safety equipment will be provided)
Performs basic upkeep of buildings and facilities
Assists in the duties of inspecting and maintaining the water distribution system, grounds and hydrants/valves
Performs basic manual labor (general custodial duties, brush chipping, painting, and mowing)
Performs minor adjustments and troubleshooting on equipment

Qualification

Operating hand/power toolsBasic First Aid trainingDriving pickup truckFollowing instructions

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities to do the job
Must be at least 18 years of age
Position requires a valid driver's license and safe driving history
Able to follow written and oral instructions
Able to operate hand/power tools and other small equipment

Preferred

Some experience in driving a pickup truck and trailer, lawn and garden equipment desired
Basic First Aid training is helpful
