Quality Technician

Responsibilities

Assembling kits for the collection of biospecimens
Communicating with clinical sites to fulfill test kit orders
Entering data into the laboratory information management system (LIMS)
Packing shipments & creating shipment documentation
Tracking of inbound and outbound shipments
Scanning and filing documents
Receiving inventory including eQMS related activities
Completion of acceptance activities including receiving and receiving inspection of inventory shipments
Ensuring all material within the facility is properly identified and in the correct location according to acceptance status
Keeping the warehouse area organized and audit-ready
Identifying continuous improvement opportunities
Review and approval of quality records
Assisting with metrics reporting related to listed job responsibilities
Updating procedures as requested via the eQMS
Audit backroom support as needed
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage time effectively to complete work in expected time frames
Support and comply with the company’s Quality Management System policies and procedures
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 25% of a typical working day
Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements

Required

Associates degree in life sciences or related field; or High School Degree/General Education Diploma and 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of Associates degree
1+ years of experience in a general laboratory setting through prior job experience, education, or a combination of both
Demonstrated strong documentation skills and attention to detail necessary in a GMP environment
Proficient in using basic software applications including Microsoft Office
Legal authorization to work in the country without current or future sponsorship
Strong communication skills
Ability to manage time effectively to complete work in expected time frames
Support and comply with the company's Quality Management System policies and procedures
Ability to work overtime as needed
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds for approximately 25% of a typical working day
Ability to comply with any applicable personal protective equipment requirements

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in life sciences or related field
Experience in a GMP environment
Experience following standard operating procedures
Strong documentation practices, cGMP experience
Experience using a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)
