Responsibilities
Serve as the primary compliance liaison between local operations and internal compliance leadership, ensuring timely and accurate information exchange
Oversee local testing responsibilities and manage communication between Nabis, licensed laboratory partners, and brand representatives
Act as the local point person for central distribution coordination, collaborating closely with the Woodlake facility and Embarc’s distribution team to ensure compliance integrity across all shipments
Maintain METRC license integrity by actively monitoring for rejected packages, addressing discrepancies, and resolving compliance red flags in real time
Support rollout and implementation of new SOPs introduced to the delivery spokes, specifically those related to reverse fulfillment and product processing workflows
Communicate compliance expectations clearly to local staff and ensure consistent adherence to company protocols and state regulations
Proactively identify areas of compliance risk and collaborate with leadership to implement preventive and corrective actions
Qualification
Required
2+ years of experience in cannabis operations, regulatory compliance, or distribution preferred
Strong familiarity with METRC and cannabis compliance tracking systems
Knowledge of California cannabis regulations and the operational implications of distribution compliance
Proven ability to communicate effectively with internal teams, third-party vendors, and regulatory partners
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, documentation, and reporting
Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve compliance discrepancies quickly and professionally
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving regulatory environment
Excellent judgment, problem-solving skills, and professional communication
Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities and new procedures
Proficiency in Google Workspace and comfort learning new software platforms
Must be over 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States
Preferred
Cannabis industry experience strongly preferred
