Security Clerk

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is dedicated to making a social impact by providing a safe working environment while assisting at-risk populations. They are seeking a Security Clerk to perform clerical and administrative duties in compliance with various standards and directives, while maintaining records and promoting positive social skills among inmates.

Human Resources

Responsibilities

Type correspondence, reports and letters
Proofread material to verify accuracy
Maintain records and files
Maintain appropriate office supplies for the department
Operate office equipment, including computers
Log and distribute incoming mail, prepare outgoing mail, answer telephone and convey messages
Operate telephone communications and mail handling as assigned
Promote the development of positive social skills through modeling appropriate behaviors and intervening when inappropriate behaviors are observed
Maintain accountability of inmates and property; adhere to safety practices

Qualification

Clerical experienceWord processingComputer data entryOffice equipment operation

Required

High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid drivers' license in the state of Mississippi or Louisiana with an acceptable driving record required, unless waived by management

Preferred

One (1) year clerical or related experience including word processing and computer data entry preferred
