Responsibilities

Spearhead the enterprise AI and IT strategy, including developing the roadmap and governance, and coordinating across functions to execute. Liaise with senior executives across the enterprise to ensure common expectations, make sound investment choices, build a robust reinforcing ecosystem and manage successful delivery and adoption that drive meaningful, measurable results
Drive the transformation of the IT organization, fostering innovation, agility, and scalability, coordinating across all IT functions. Refresh the long-term location and staffing strategy, partnering with HR, Facilities, FP&A and other functions to execute
Lead the development and execution of the IT strategy and planning in alignment with enterprise goals, as well as select, monitor and report on KPIs and key metrics
Update, improve and oversee IT operations including vendor management, project portfolio management, governance and methodologies and financial controls. Incorporate cutting-edge concepts while adapting tools and techniques to be fit-for-purpose and simplifying processes for ease-of-use and increased compliance
Establish and maintain operational rigor across IT, ensuring efficiency, transparency, and accountability. Set OKRs for the function and metrics and reporting cadence to track progress against goals
Partner closely with the CIO, IT business partners and senior business leaders to align IT initiatives with business priorities
Influence cross-functional stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes and adoption of new technologies
Build materials for and represent IT in executive forums, board updates, and enterprise-wide initiatives
Partner with FP&A to manage the overall IT budget forecasting and expenditure
Lead, inspire, and develop a large, diverse team of IT professionals across multiple disciplines
Oversee key function-wide IT communications and engagement activities, including strategy development, planning and coordinating the execution
Build a high-performance, outcome-based culture focused on accountability, innovation, and collaboration. Model test-and-learn, data-driven approaches and embed agile and lean techniques and practices across the function
Provide effective feedback, coaching, mentorship, and career development opportunities to team and across IT
Effectively lead organizational change and support others through transformation

Required

14+ years of experience with ideally a MBA, Master's or PhD from relevant disciplines such as AI, Computer Science, Math, Engineering or/and core sciences such as Medicine/ Biology/ Chemistry
Progressive experience in IT leadership roles, including experience in strategic and financial planning, operations and people management
Proven success leading global, large-scale transformation initiatives and enterprise technology programs
Prior experience in biopharma/life sciences industry and fluency across the value chain and or experience from VC or Technology companies
Strong technical background with the ability to engage and influence in both business, technical and ideally scientific discussions
Innovation mindset and success leading early-stage innovative initiatives as well as scaling such initiatives
Proven track record as a people leader and manager, inspiring and cultivating talent
Fluency in enterprise architecture, review processes and rationalization
Deep understanding of IT project governance, financial management, vendor ecosystems, and project portfolio management
Demonstrated experience engaging with senior executives and navigating across functions to drive strategic initiatives
Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills. Highly skilled at storytelling and transforming data and insights into compelling, crisp narratives and images
