Responsibilities
Assist Operations Manager with planning, organizing and directing warehouse activities to ensure successful night shift operations
Assist with maintaining a positive morale, work standards and developing teams
Assist with training and managing associate performance
Assertively seek solutions to problems at the root level
Ensure warehouse operations comply with federal, state, and local company policies
Assist with controlling expenses
Assist with reducing employee turnover / Assist with reducing overtime working hours
Ensure warehouse equipment and vehicles are well maintained and that housekeeping meets company standards
Interview, hire, and develop a team
Gives work direction, resolves problems, and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work
Qualification
Required
Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities
Thorough knowledge of Operations Management, excellent organizational skills, excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Experience in managing, leading and developing staff
Computer proficiency in MS Office
Excellent and effective business communication skills both verbally and in writing
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and make strong business decisions
Demonstrated associate engagement skills
Experience inspiring a team, leveraging strengths, executing a strategy, advancing a business, and developing self/others
Ensure associate safety and build a positive collaborative Team. Continuous development of direct reports, including coaching and direct feedback
Skill at communicating insights and understanding issues and problems
Experienced in analyzing data and conditions in real-time and adjusting as needed
Have flexibility with work hours to support McKesson, the team, and our customers; must be able to adjust shift schedule and work overtime as needed based on business requirements which include weekends
Take on additional duties as needed based on business requirements or management direction
Able to work scheduled weekend on call
Preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent; 4-year degree preferred
Industry experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
Experience with the DEA regulations
Skilled in interviewing, coaching, evaluation, discipline and record keeping
WMS experience preferred
MS Access proficiency and ability to interpret and analyze data
4-year degree or equivalent experience
