Inventory Control Clerk III

The Inventory Control Clerk III is responsible for managing accurate inventory levels of parts and tools used in the manufacture of Class III medical devices, coordinating with departments for stock replenishment, and ensuring accurate record-keeping of inventory transactions.

Medical Device

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of raw materials, finished products, and production supplies
Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies
Pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy in inventory records, manage lot traceability of materials and components, and prevent errors that could lead to regulatory violations
Read and interpret technical documentation, such as product specifications and labeling, to understand the specific storage and handling requirements for various medical components, devices, and packaging
Collaborate with production, quality control, procurement clerk, and warehouse associate to ensure timely availability of materials for production and shipment
Analyze inventory data to identify and address any issues such as stock shortages or excess inventory
Follow inventory control policies and procedures
Monitor and report on inventory performance metrics such as turnover rate and stock accuracy
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline inventory management processes
Work with finance manager to reconcile inventory counts and valuation

Required

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in inventory control, preferably in the medical device industry
Excellent knowledge of inventory management software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail
Read and understand technical documentation
Familiarity with quality management systems and FDA regulations
Organizational and problem-solving skills
Communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and FDA regulations
